Copper is the most efficient and versatile metal conductor. A electric vehicle requires 2.5 times more copper than conventional internal combustion engine vehicles, while 5.5 tons of copper per megawatt are consumed in solar powered systems everyday. Copper demand stood at 28MTpa in 2022, and will increase to 70MTpa by 2050.

A New Process

Unparalleled Performance

Hylomatter has developed and patented a new high performance catalyst exchange technology to extract copper from low-grade sulfides i.e. chalcopyrite. Hylomatter’s technology, core innovation enabled by materials science, has an ultra-low acid usage, completely eliminates the need for leaching pads, and has a high tolerance for impurities. We plan to produce its beads and deliver to copper projects worldwide. The beads are loaded into vessels, sulfide ore is flowed through the vessels, and as the sulfide percolates through the beads, the beads reduce impurities, allowing the resulting intermediate concentrate to be readily soluble. We are actively accepting mining partners seeking ore analysis & interest in field pilots.
